i have to write an essay on this and i just need to know how i can start off. any suggestions? thankyou.

Americans have understood themselves ideologically as a society of equals for over two centuries. in the twetieth century. many americans dedicated themselves to transforming the ideology of euality into lived reality for all citizens.
compare and contrast two different civil rights demands by the bonus army. the second will be mlks leadership in the 1960s civil rights movement.

The hook I would use would be to start of with the Constitution's guarantee of the people's right to assemble peaceably for redress of grievances. Then say something brief about the bonus army and one of the big civil rights rallies or marches King was in.
