I think you hit the nail right on the head, I believe he has lost the edge he had with his curve ball. When he is able to throw it over the plate the hitters are able to do things with it that they could never do in the past. When you participate at that level there is such a fine line between good and average that one little flaw can make the difference. However, knowing that his problem is mechanics and being able to correct the problem is not always as easy as it sounds. I am not sure if or when he will be able to return to form.

The Giants are finally seeing the true Barry Zito. What a bargain, huh!

Yeah, he was overrated to begin with, the contract the Giants gave him is insane. There are other left-handed pitchers that have put up better numbers. I thought his curve ball looked flatter last year, too.

Zito feels out of place in a Giants uniform. Should have stayed with the A's... (even tho' I'm glad that the Angels don't have to face him in the regular season!)

Among changing leagues, and changing the way he pitches I don't know. I do hope he can get it together quick or else the Giants will be made fools of. Hopefully he just has Matt Morris syndrome. Last year was Morris's first year as a Giant and he struggled, now he is doing better. I just hope he figures it out soon.

He's overrated, he's hardly been over .500 since 2002.
