I like Scarlett for a girl. It's pretty and you don't hear it very often. It's also from one of the greatest films of all time.

For a while I was toying with the idea of naming a child Holden, after Holden Caulfield from Catcher in the Rye, which is one of my favorite books. My boyfriend really doesn't like it, but I still might just sell him on it yet!! : )
For a girl, my favorite "character" names are Scarlett (Gone With the Wind), Jo (Little Women), and Stella (A Streetcar Named Desire).

This is going to sound crazy...at least I was told I was a few times LOL...but with my first son I wanted to name him Maximus after Russel Crowes Character in Gladiator..needless to say his name is Jacob..and hey if you want to get technical...I got Jacob from the Bible...father of Joseph...("Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat"...that was a great play starring Donnie Osmond I saw years ago and have always loved it)

I like the name Ariel. It has such a nice lilt. I also like the name Serena (from Bewtiched, Sam's evil twin cousin).
Movies have lots of good names, as long as they aren't too far out and weird. Like I'd never name my kid Princess Leea or Sponge Bob.

Elizabeth. Love Pride and Prejudice - she's such a strong female character, that you just have to love Austin for creating her!
(Plus, it's a family name... which is the reason I'd consider it at all.)

I would probably definitely use Anakin. And if anyone doesn't know what that's from..shame on you. It's a cute name though!
Others I would probably use
Hermione--meaning travel--used in Harry Potter and a Shakespearean play
Aslan--meaning lion--used in lwaw
Galadriel--meaning Maiden crowned by a radiant garland--Used in LOTR
Someone tell me why I received a thumbs down.
Because I like the uncommon names, I assume. These are all great names with great meanings.

I loved Elinor from Sense and Sensibility but seems all of the sudden every form of Eleanor or Ellie or Ella is popular, so would not use it now....
