I am totally disgusted.

All those hundreds of thousands of soldiers who died for our country didn't die for this.

We are squandering the great country they bequeathed to us.

A part of any "solution" to the problem of illegal immigration must address the huge number of illegals already in this country. The Idea behind a five grand "fine" is that it provides a reasonably achievable path to legalization but falls short of a blanket amnesty that simply rewards those who ignored our borders and continue to ignore our laws.

By allowing for a reasonably achievable path to legalization we give an opportunity to those who truly want to become a part of this country. Those that ignore that opportunity expose themselves as invaders rather than immigrants, thus making it a bit less politically incorrect to round them up and toss them over the fence.

Never looked at it that way. I don't know what has happened. It's like we blinked and missed something. Throughout history, people have been able to be bought, but this is out of control.

They charge people to become citizens? So are you saying only rich people should be allowed to become citizens? Money is more important than any other legal obligation to becoming an American citizen? Hmm … maybe you should brush up on your history. “Give us your hungry, your tired, your poor,” does that ring any bells?

I got my American citizenship for free. I was born here. Since the illegals you may be worried about don't have $5k, price is probably not an issue.

Because we voted those fukkers in office. Not just once, but in many cases, over and over again.

It doesn't seem like any of them give a crap what we think about anything anymore. Looks like we need a revolt again.
