Until I sold my company, I had to be both. A team player with my employees and at the same time working alone.
While I did enjoy the interaction with all of the people that worked for me, it was more a necessity than a choice.
I much prefer to work alone.

I pull my weight in a team but find that in most teams the total achievement is less than the sum of the individuals' capabilities due to the team leader's personal agenda.
I prefer to sink or survive while paddling my own canoe.

I can be a team player when the situation calls for it, but I far and away can accomplish much more on my own when the end result is dependent only on my actions and not on the actions of many.

It depends on what sport it is Like in basketball i can achieve more as a team but in softball i can achieve more by myself
