What educational standards have members of the Royal Family achieved - especially Charles, Anne, Andrew, Edward, William and Harry. We are in disagreement about their success (or otherwise!) as some believe they have done particularly well and others believe they may have got into Uni on false pretences!

Although a number of the Queen's children went to University, the first member of the Royal family to get in on his own merits was William. Harry fully admitted he wasn't bright enough to go to university so went to Sandhurst for which he'd obtained the required two A-levels.

William achieved a 2:1, Charles a 2:2 and Edward a 2:2.

Prince William A Level Results

Charles got 6 O-levels; 2 A-levels (B in History and C in French), which obviously was just what anyone needs to get into Trinity College, Cambridge. There he studied Archaeology and Anthropology until he probably decided to do a subject he could spell, and switched to History, in which he received a 2/2.
Without being cruel, one must assume there was no way his work could have been categorised as 2/1 or he'd have been given one, and it was inconceivable in those days that the heir could been awarded a 3rd class degree. His 2/2 was therefore was for turning up!
Don't know about the rest, but given the level of support and coaching they all received, they aren't terribly bright, unless of course one compares them with Diana, whose academic achievements, again with privileges, were dismal.
William is claimed to have the highest achievement of any heir to the British throne as it happens.

Prince William is the most qualified - he achieved a 2:1 Honours degree MA (Hons) in Geography from St Andrews. He had studied Geography, Biology and History of Art at A-level.

His father, the Prince of Wales, achieved a 2:2 honours degree from Cambridge, where he studied anthropology, archaeology and history, after gaining A-levels in History and French.

Prince Harry got a D in A-level Geography and a B in Art and did not attend University.

The Duke of York obtained A-levels in English, History & Economics, and Political Science, and did not attend University.

The Earl of Wessex emulated his brother Charles by obtaining a 2:2 honours degree from Cambridge - I didn't find his A-level results.
