I totally feel ya. I have to be at work at 8 and to get to work on time I have to get up at 5:45! I usually get to work at 8:15 but good thing nobody notices. I am just not a morning person, I can never get up, never could, probably never will...I guess we have to accept it.

Obviously, you're not a morning person, but you do need a certain amount of sleep. First try getting to bed one hour earlier each night. Don't keep the alarm within reach so that you have to get up each morning to turn it off. If you try, you can change the attitude towards that nasty alarm clock by immediately adjusting your thinking. Get up to turn the clock off and immediately do some stretches or other type of exercise.
Unless your place of employment has flex time, you need to make some adjustments. If you can't function, you're of little use to the company and they'll notice. Too much caffeine will do more harm than good. If all else fails, you may have to look for a job where you can start later. Good luck!

I've been there. The college sleep schedule is so sporadic that it's hard to adjust to anything that's set, especially f you have to get up early.
First make sure you always get eight hours. If you already do that, I would recommend exercising daily. It sounds funny but it really does help you not only get to sleep at night but it also gives you energy in the morning. Force yourself out of bed and go for a brisk run, it will keep you nice and alert at work and you will feel great.
Also don't overdo the sleep on the weekends. It's nice to sleep in every now and then but don't completely change your schedule for two days because then you'll have to start anew every week. Good luck!

OMG 11pm is super late to go to bed and be awake by 645. Try this at least for one day. Go to bed at 8:30 or 9 the latest. Then see how you wake up in the am. No wonder. If I went to bed at that time, I would probobly hate the mornings too.

You need to be trying to get 8-10 hours of sleep. Right now you are only getting 8, so maybe try going to bed by 9pm and waking up around 6:45am. See if it makes a difference. Read your Bible before you go to bed and when you wake up - it calms your spirit and gives you true rest - just like 10 min. each time.

There is a saying-"Early to bed early to rise". However now a days people put alarm. But mine is different. If I have to get up at 4 in the morning, then at night before going to bed I wash my hands and feet and face. Then sitting on the bed I determine to get up at that time. I remind my mind to do so and its sure to get up.

Take a warm bath and get to bed by 9:30 p.m. every night. No caffeine after 2 p.m.! Stay on the same schedule even on the weekends - your body likes regularity! ( No sleeping pills....)

Go to bed at 10:30. That extra 1/2hr might help.
Your body just needs to adjust. It may take awhile.
Welcome to the real world!!
