Excellent point!
I don't know how the Republican party can make anyone look better in the first place.
If keeping things the same, not improving the planet, or medical research, or not helping the poor and homeless in order to "feed" a senseless war, or not giving people the right to choose is good for one's image...what is so redeeming about being a Republican?

Bloomberg is confused. For a man who has amassed the wealth he has one would think he could afford a better education or something. First he is a Democrat and then a Republican and now he is independant? Good grief! Aren't guys like him supposed to be good at making decisions? He obviously can't decide what he wants to go with philosophically. If he were to run for president one can wonder what other indecisiveness would he show.
At least Dubya is a decider, usually wrong, but decider nevertheless.

We conservatives verify along with his ilk as being a RINO (stated like rhyno) - Republican In call basically. those are people who desire to recommend themselves as republicans for in spite of reason - it particularly is all. possibly, whilst he ran for the governorship of massive apple, he felt that it would artwork against him if he have been to approach the election as a democratic candidate as against the guy who basically left - Rudy. some human beings conservatives have additionally categorized Rudy as a RINO with the aid of him refusing to incorporate center conservative subject concerns: precise-to-life for innocents and 2nd-modification rights. those are center conservative subject concerns, in spite of what the goons interior the media permit you already know.

Bloomberg was always a democrat at heart. I would take this more of a sign of political opportunism.

The fact he originally left the Democratic party to improve his image is proof enough I guess.

Don't forget that he left the Democrats first 8 years ago. So it's not like they're all high and mighty, and notice he didn't go back either.

The reality is, Bush has tarnished the party's image so badly that I think we're going to see more and more high profile defections running up to the election.
