i spent 5 years working for asda, they basically want you to be happy, hard working and flexible. i left just after walmart took over and have spoken to friends who still work there and they say it isn't a very good company to work for any more!
asda workers "colleagues" as they're known,are the lowest paid in the supermarket business. i would suggest that if you want to work in a super market then try tesco ( the highest paid) or, if you don't mind being sent home if they're not busy, lidle - the rate of pay is exceptional but if they're not busy you wont work!! ( also they don't use an EPOS system so you have to remember all the prices!

Just say all the right things...
I like working with the public, I'm punctual, I'm bubbly and think it's important to have a good positive atmosphere at work, I've heard this is a good company to work for etc.
