Its a good idea... but the problem is that at 10pm when the lights go back on ... all together
there will probably be such a surge it will cause a power cut... anyway today is the longest day, we wont even need the lights on till after 10 so its really a bit of a damp squib if you ask me..

I'm not in London but I believe you turn your lights off yourself & as it's longest day it won't be that dark anyway so I can't see how much difference it will make

if its like it was last night weather wise it wont even be darkthen so whats the fuss,it is longest day today and it hardly gets dark this time of the year,havent you lot realised yet this is www site all questions are the same

It hasn't been well publicised, I am not taking part.

I think it won't make a difference the power stations will still be producing energy and normal capacity during the "event".

I havent heard about it - and I am only 40 mile out of London!! I wonder how many more fire 999 calls will be made to house fires started by candles, people falling down stairs as they drip hot wax on themselves and people getting mugged in the dark!!

check it, its all saving energy isnt it blud? i like this clever idea, some fuckers have been saying thats its still light is scotland at this time. cool blud thts even more reason to do it. i dont live in london but it sounds like a great idea!!!!
