He is sexist and a Yankees fan living in Maryland
I am a Red Sox fan born and raised in Boston but currently live in Maryland.

Speaking as a Red Sox fan I say don't dump him just because he is a Yankees fan and you are a Red Sox fan. Now if you have problems with him because he is sexist that is another story but a sports rivalry can be fun in relationships. If the only thing that bothers you about him is his favorite baseball team you should probably keep him. If there are other things that bother you in the relationship then evaluate the relationship based on those things and leave out baseball.

If he's sexist I would dump him, but if it's because you like the Red Sox and he likes that Yankees that is a terrible reason to dump him.

Don't dump him just because you like the Red Sox and he likes the Yankees. The important thing is if you feel an emotional connection with him.

My fiance is a Yankees Fan, and has been for 22 years, I'm a Red Sox fan.We are able to coexist with each other pretty well.Except during the playoffs of course.If you love each other, then the teams you root for should not jeopardize that.Good Luck.

in all honesty...you shouldn't dump him because he likes the yankees and you like the red sox...i've seen relationships where that happens....
although in my personal bias...i'd dump him because i hate the yankees...and i'm a big red sox fan
i'd take a bigger deal w/ the sexist part....i mean if he doesn't respect your sexuality then you should definitely dump him....hey i'm a nonsexist red sox fan...lol.....don't let him disrespect you...

I don't think any human being deserves to be treated like garbage.
The image of being dumped implies garbage.
If for whatever reason you don't want to continue in a relationship with your "boyfriend."
I think you should follow the golden rule.
Treat him as you would want to be treated.
This doesn't sound like its a meltdown because you cheer on different sports teams...
Come on wake up & smell the coffee.

Nah, don't dump him just because he's a Yanks fan. Just dump his hat; I recommend in the toilet or garbage disposal.
Seriously though, a little rivalry is fun if both parties are mature about it. It's just a game, it's not worth making life-changing decisions around.
