Are our political leaders war criminals?
Isn't the unecessary declaration of war an admittance of total failure to provide a 'safe and secure environment' and shouldn't the offending politicians be excluded from future office.

Perhaps I should have said major western politcal leaders. I am referring to all leaders involved in contibuting to presentthe Iraqi fiasco.
Bush, possibly through his ignorance greatly influenced Blair and others. But they too should have checked the validity the 'intelligence' before plunging us into a non-productive war, which has caused the death of thousands of innocents and further alienated our enemies. In fact our role in the Middle East far from eliminating 'terrorism' seems to be fermenting it.

I am assuming an assumption of "our" as the US of A.
Victors write history. Our leaders maybe morally responsible but the US does not recognize any world authority such as the World Court. So because we are the remaining Super Power in the world we can do whatever we want without any responsibility. Only the people of the US could take actions on them such as impeachment.

It depends on your perspective. I think most Americans (even those who do not agree with the war ) do not believe Bush is a war criminal. I think smaller countries that derive most of their political power from NATO think he is. . . Bush told the world that America would not be beholden to foreign laws . . . unfortunately he did it in a very arrogant way and now we are paying the price. For my personal opinion, I'm a liberal democrat and I do not think Bush is a war criminal. I think he's a horrible diplomat.

Although an exact definition of this much-used expression is not possible, largely because the term refers to a variety of different transgressions, war crimes could be said to be the violation of national and international laws and customs regarding the resort to war and the conduct of war, and other activities associated with war. Since the Nuremberg and Tokyo trials of 1945-48, it has been accepted in international law that war crimes include at least three types of activity: crimes against peace; crimes against the laws and customs of war; and crimes against humanity.
I'd say the terrorists who bombed our nation on 9/11 fit the definition of war criminals! Our own government IS guiltly of protecting our freedoms and safety as a nation!
Just my humble opinion!

India is wonderful with democracy & we could consistently be fixing its flaws. violence is not at all a answer .maximum questioning human beings be responsive to a thank you to handle corruption .3 issues are mandatory : a committed , easy & functional management , get rid of human dealing with in maximum administrative affairs , meaning huge use of technologies & third a reformed investigative companies alongside with judiciary which grants justice in well timed vogue to deprave human beings. Now police reforms & judicial reforms can basically be completed with the aid of a easy & functional plus keen political management . it relatively is the top element we are lacking at the instant . look , seen progression in states like Bihar ( considering that nitish kumar took over) , Orrisa ( Naveen Patnayak has been doing a good pastime , Gujarat with modi doing wonderful , MP Shivraj singh too is okay , Dr. Raman singh in Chhatisgarh too is doing properly . Even Rajasthan doing properly . we've not heard of any important corruption scandal regarding those states & there are few greater like J & ok . however the corruption giving coronary heart attack to human beings in prevalent existence is enormous-unfold everywhere . So enable us to attend & desire that a good chief with enthusiasm will emerge on the midsection to hold our u . s . forward , who would be that , no one knows .until at last media with all its nonsense reporting is giving sleepless nights to politicians , so as which will effect in some useful issues. I have not have been given any expectation from 70 plus years politicians through fact they are in a position to no longer have the pastime of fifty year previous , & as of now there is none on the horizon.

You people who don't do any research to support your claims scare me....ignorance is half the problem with this world.
The terrorist believe the brainwashing they grow up with without exposing themselves to learning facts and you without the proper knowlege (apparently) that Bush went through all the proper channels and voting systems, in order to get authorization to go to war. So why don't you do some research before you post yet another ignorant question / statement.
