i leave comment for best answer awards that i've received, but i never look to see if anyone leaves me a comment, are there thousands of comments left unread somewhere? LOL

I always do. It interests me a great deal to see the rationale of why someone gave me the best answer.

I do. I like to see what they like about my answer. I feel that if they took the time to write something I should take a second to read it.

No, I always forget to do that. Once I close a question, I just move on. I probably should look, just in case,huh.
