If a training bra/sports bra isn't cutting it anymore than yes it's time you move into a cupped bra. It has nothing to do with the other girls and what they are wearing.

I'd simply pull your mom aside and tell her you need to go shopping because your sports bras are getting too tight which is the reason why when you wear a tank top things get exposed. I am sure your mom will understand and take you shopping.

Ok, do you need one because every other girl has it, or because you need some more support than just a sports bra? An A cup is not that big, good enough for your age that you are just starting to grow. Tell your mom that you would like to see other bra models and go togehter to a Target or other place. Try on different ones, since you say it is hot, maybe you don't really need a thick cupped bra, something more light but will just do fine. You will eventually need to change out of the sports bra because you will keep growing.

Just go shopping with your mother and let her know that you need a bra the next time you guys are out. Perhaps you can do this in a subtle way by asking your mother if the store you go into has a sale on cupped bras.

As the other user suggested - try something made of cotton, since it will keep you cooler in the heat. Try to avoid the satin looking bras since they usually only produce heat.

If you can find anything that doesn't necessarily use thick underwire - I would also suggest you do so. Many times the underwire can move out of place, cut into the skin or even remove itself from the bra if made badly!

Also - Don't feel pressured to get a bra simply because every other girl has one.

Focus on what YOUR personal care and needs are. You are the only one that will be wearing this bra - NOT them, so it's up to you feel comfortable and supported.

:)

Actually I think you should play it off and be like "Ma!, My Bra Too Tight I Need Some New Ones!" Then if you go to the clothes store wit her you can jus pick out the cupped bras. I'm pretty sure she would understand and if she dont come out to her right there.

Sweetie, there's simply nothing wrong with being a 34a. Moreover, you're just 13! Lots of girls started to really "develop" in their late teens like >16. But I think you had better stop wearing sports bra unless you're doing sports coz its not good for the "ventillation" inside your 2 towers. There's a daily process of replenish in there, so sports bra will just stop the whole process and your 2 towers won't grow properly. I suggest you wear those tube bras that is not only safe but comfortable as well. ;) Cheers!

Being that you are tiny, I'm not sure why your sports bras are way too tight and that "it all shows" when you bend over. I would understand if you were a 34D, but a 34A is small.

If you want to start wearing a bra, you can go into any store and buy one for yourself. You don't need your Mom with you. Try WalMart (they are very inexpensive there) if money is an issue.

Tell your mom that it's about time to get a bra fitting. She should understand. Go to Gap or Victoria's Secret. Victoria's Secret isn't all sleazy, they have the Pink section, which is cuter and a little less sexy, so it'll be better for you.

Tell her you need to go to the store next time she tells you to change. Get a nice cotton bra that will help keep you cooler in the hot weather.
