If you are looking for large wholesale lots or even small batches you could check on Ebay. Or, if you are like me, and just love to wander through Craft Supply stores, check your local yellow pages for some in your area. "Michael's" is a large chain, and "Ben Franklin" is a smaller one. Also, department stores like "Walmart, Kmart, Target, etc" all have craft supply departments where you can find the supplies you need in smaller amounts. You can check your local yellow pages or use Yahoo or Google to locate local or online suppliers. I've included the url for just one site I found by googling 'wholesale craft supplies'. This one looks like they have fairly reasonable prices and could supply you with just about anything you could possibly need.

I have found that ebay is brilliant for buying gemstones for making jewellery. It is where I buy most of mine from. Prices are very reasonable so it is not brilliant if you wanted to sell gemstones for a profit. There are a few good sellers in the UK and lots in the US. Most of the companies I buy from are in Thailand, the "gem capital of the world" but be aware that such purchases are liable for import duty and tax so build this into any costs. If you buy in the UK such duties will already have been paid.

Ebay is also excellent for findings (settings, etc) and chains for pendants. If you're not already a member it's easy and free to join.

Any large craft store sells jewelry findings and beads. If you are looking for real gems, look at the site below. They also carry the other things you are looking for.

You can get plenty of addresses and websites from the classified ads section in Ornament Magazine. The bits and pieces that you need to make up jewellery are called findings.
