I don't think I would tell, because it could backfire on you. Let me explain. My cousin's husband was on his death bed,( so we all thought) he had been told by the doctors as well that he was not going to live. He wrote a letter to his step daughter, apologizing for all the times he had sexually molested her while she was growing up. I guess he wanted to get it all off his chest before he died. Well, he DIDN"T die, and his stepdaughter showed her mother the letter. He is now sitting in jail for child molestation. I know an affair isn't going to land me in jail, but if I don't die, it is going to make me wish I had never said anything! If I do die, all I have really accomplished is hurting my husband, and if i had wanted that, I would have told him a long time ago.

I shall tell her that she may hear many unfavorable things about me after I am gone,as this is the way things happen in this world,Also, that she may even hear that I have had an affair with a woman and then something more.Reposing my full faith in her,I shall ask her to be circumspect and not let such trivial issues cast a shadow on our most beautiful relationship. Finally,I shall ask for her forgiveness for all lapses on my part ,done knowingly or unknowingly.

what good would come of telling of your indiscretion's on your death bed after all you are doomed for the initial act under all religions , so you are hell bound. The fact that you got it off your chest is a lame reason because all you are doing is giving grief to those that are left behind . your family and friends . let bad news come to rest , let it be buried with you.
I know the just people out there will disagree ,but in reality I believe that harming more people wont make up for a sin that is in the past.

u have to tell them...its against me to be mean and make someone believe it all was true love and let the person wait for abot 10-20 yrs before going out again because they think its the wrong thing to do-dont let them wait on love because you didnt show any by having an affair.knowledge is only best when it is shared

You should watch a movie "Premonition" with Sandra Bullock. There is an exact answer in that movie, unless you got inspired by that movie. But personally If cheated I would be honest about it. But don't cheat, because it will influence your relationship forever. Those scars don't go away.

I'm guessing they would never find out, not only would they be very sad about their partner dying, they would also then have a lot of unanswered questions and i think that would be double the hurt.
take the secret with you, you will never be around to suffer the consequences anyway and you certainly never find out if they found out.

If i were in this position which is most unlikely, i'd rather get it off my chest. It's only fair. Put yourself in that persons shoes would you want to think someone loves you when they really love somebody else?

I wouldn't cheat, but if I had, I would take it to the grave with me. Why cause the hurt and pain just to feel like I've redeemed myself?
