My dad is retired, he was 80 last week - before that he was the senior steel buyer for a company called AP, he worked there from the day he left school, only break was his national service in the Navy.. I always remember how stressful the job was for him, he hated it but you just didnt move jobs in those days.

He was forced to retire early due to the onset of Parkinsons Disease, but now he travels all over the world with my mom and He is still the most special man in my world.....

My dads a traditional Barber and has followed in a line of barbers since 1871, Hes also a great guy who knows about everything (practical like whats wrong with your car, the best paint to use , how to haggle)and knows everyone in our community, and has helped so many over the years.
hes seventy one (oops sorry dad) and can make a thirty year old seem old and past it!! he never stops doing things and is always up to something new.

My bio dad I never met and most of my step dads are passed away Except the one I call dad and he is 89 and travels he is coming here July 2 for the NASCAR race.

My dad is a contractor. He's owned his company for over 10 years and still enjoys it.

My dad used to be a coachbuilder/engineer until machines phased manual labour out then he became a bus cleaner. He's retired now.

Retired. He worked for AT&T for y e a r s. I've never been quite sure what he did, but it required a three-piece suit. This made him a happy man. (He was raised in an orphanage, so he did well.)
