Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory - the original with Gene Wilder. The way those children kept disappearing one by one. And don't get me started on the horrifying Oompah-Loompahs!

For me I think partly because I was young when I saw it, CUJO by Steven King. Amity Ville II the Possession was also scary for me. Now I have not seen a scary movie that I have not thought was stupid. In Texas Chainsaw Massacre I felt the victims made a lot of common sense mistakes. In fact if you pay attention to a scary movie you would have to be really stupid to fall victim to a lot of these killers.

Take Friday the 13th, in Texas I think you would have a bunch of red necks form a hunting party and go lynch Jason's butt.

Eragon
It was soo scary....because I thought it was never going to end... I still have nightmares about the lack of plot and the bad acting cast members. Even now I shutter to think how many good independent movies got push aside and this was in the box office.

My favorite scary movie is Spider Babies which is an old cult classic from the 50's... check it out on Netflick. The actress in it is so strange and creepy plus they run around in sexy baby doll dresses and nighties.

Not sure of the name, I think it's called when a stranger calls back. It was about this guy who would stalk women by camouflaging himself to blend in with the walls inside their home and at one point he was able to throw his voice and make it appear like he was outside when he was right behind the girl. This movie was so freaky. They actually showed the wall, and it looked like any ordinary wall, next thing you know he opened his eyes. You just couldn't tell he was there. I had to sleep with the lights on for a minute after seeing that.

It is not the scariest I know...most of them have already been named - But Nosferatu (1922) is very scary for the time period. It is quite eerie.
