where i live the councils are trying to impose a charge for entering all towns and manchester airport to encourage commuters to use public transport.
the only problem is public transport is a huge joke and for me and my family to travel 3 miles to my local shops would cost £3.50 return by bus compared to about £1.00 by car.
this is all being done in the name of the enviroment (i know things need to be done ,but how about more fuel effeceint cars etc)
To me this is just another way of getting more money out of joe public by playing to our fears.
Do you agree or disagree with congestion charging?

I disagree when public transport is in such as state (you can't get a seat now, without charging pushing more people onto trains and busses. Perhaps they should sort out the public transport before they introduce any charging. Or not charge people who car-share, or something.
