super ruper...not corny at all; makes sense to me! :)

I, too, think that each living Entity has a "Life Purpose", or "Mission". There is something unique and valuable that each person (animals and plants too, but easier to discuss humans) can do or contribute here on Earth in this lifetime. And I feel it is each individual's life journey to discover what that may be...iow, our life's purpose is to discover our Purpose!

And that sounds circular, but really it's not, b/c it is our job not only to discover that Purpose/Mission, but also to then at least attempt to carry it out.

I also feel that our individual Missions work together as a whole to give rise to an Ultimate Life Mission, or Plan of Existence. In my opinion, much like what super ruper expressed, this Ultimate Mission is to learn how to care for each other, to work together as a Unified Whole; to acknowledge our "Sameness" instead of fighting over our differences; to act as one giant "Planet Earth Family", instead of my tribe vs. your tribe, my faith vs. your religion, etc.

As for me personally, although my "day job" is in science, I feel that my true Life Work or Calling is to use writing AND dancing as means of furthering Peace and Unity here. It took my entire 20s to slowly discover this, and now I'm trying to find ways to make it happen. Obviously it will take lots of work and time, but hey, if it's my Life Purpose, it SHOULD take lots of time and effort, right?!

I hope I can even come close...

Thanks for the question :)

Peace.

Mission is an ambiguous word...so I will answer according to my interpretation.

I believe that we are all put on this earth to help one another. Sounds very corny, but if you consider the implications if everyone felt this way, we would live in a much different, far better world.

In recognizing this, and having been afforded the luxury of time and ability to help others, I make it my mission to make other's lives easier. It may be financial, it may be some physical assistance, or just simply some company and attention from time to time. And in doing any or all of these things, I receive 're-payment' of sorts, tenfold...

I feel sometimes I do but haven't become aware of it, it is probably to fight the dark forces of this world which I am not equipped for...
don't know what to do...how can we just walk away from evil people & let them get away with it? how can we let them them do it to others?...maybe I should let each fight for themselves sometimes...

To spread the Gospel of Jesus. To help and love one another.

Nothing is mission of life. You can not create anything and can not destroy anything.
