Yep, and before I answer the doorbell, I put my coat on, then if it's someone I don't want to see I can say I'm just going out. If I do want to see them, I say "I've just got home, I'll take my coat off and make you a nice coffee cos I'm gasping too! "

I don't say I am not at home, I tell them I am napping at home. I may be just relaxing but it is my decision when to have company. The truth is the best here.
