The modern theory is that the solar system (like billions of other solar systems in the universe) started out as a big ball of gas and dust. Since it's nearly impossible for something to have zero angular momentum, it was rotating. Gravity caused clumps of matter to stick together. Eventually you would form a huge mass at the centre (star) with a fraction of the mass left rotating around it. This tiny fraction woul again be acted on by gravity and planets could form from the left over material. This process is well-modeled and can be observed in its various stages by looking at other solar systems in the universe (we know of many). As for coincidences I would think that they are just that, random chance.

Letting aside Big Bang and Darwin there is still the mystery of the solar system and our Earth. There are many theories how the belt of material (a disk) that theoretically rotated around our sun was organized accidentally by a fly-by of another star or large space junk to form our planets and the moons. This accidental and blind mechanism performed some miracles - like giving our moon and the sun, as seen from the Earth exactly the same mean diameter of 32 arc-minutes with a difference of less than 1 in 1000. It also resulted in 23.5° axis tilt that gives the four seasons. It also deposited huge amounts of water on our planet so that life could exist and survive.
All this by pure accident (if you believe cosmological science)

The last I heard is that scientists are changing their mind VERY FAST about Darwin's theory... they do not any longer believe that we come from monkeys or amoebas. Please look up recent researches about the 'protein molecules' in a cell. That research was the biggest one that convinced them that if the odds of 270 something odd RIGHT handed molecules to attach in certain way for a protein molecule to exist is 1,000,000,000.... (hundred zeros), but it happens every time the very same way, they say a higher power has to have created them, because the odds are against the big bang theory and all other accidental life appearence

Big Bang is the only answer and its when molecules got packed together. this is a homework assignment isn't it?

It just appeared one day.
It's there by definition.
