What you mean to say is "sew clothes," unless you plan on planting them. The verb "sow" means to plant, usually with the expectation of harvesting the resulting crop at some later date.
Here are a few websites which might be helpful. To find others, just google "learn how to sew," or something similar to that:

If you want to learn to SEW clothes, there are several different books, pattens and websites out there. About.com has a good sewing site with beginner projects. Reader's Digest has an excellent beginner's sewing book. Many of the pattern companies have starters and beginners patterns. Here are a couple websites with beginner's sewing lessons that are considered among the best..

Simplicity patterns also has an e-mail based sewing course for beginners. You sign up and they deliver sewing lessons to your e-mail in-box they are found here: http://www.simplicity.com/index.cfm?page=section/classroom/sewingLessons/hpSewing101Index.cfm
Some sewing stores offer classes, I don't know anywhere that it's free, unless you've purchased a sewing machine. I give lessons at a local outlet and I get paid for my work. Fortunately, sewing is one of those skill you can learn by yourself in your spare time.

You can wander though your fields sowing clothes left and right but they still are not going to grow into more clothes.

Check with your local fabric store. Most of them offer sewing classes. Once you learn the basics and become familiar with your sewing machine there are books and simple patterns to help you teach yourself. Good luck! I love to sew (and I taught myself), just wish I had more time to do it!
