They do it because they have been hurt or rejected. That is why it is important to love your neighbor and your neighbor, forgiveness and peace.

I don't think that there is such thing as someone who is truly evil. I believe that people are just selfish. People will do things that seem unselfish or altruistic, but there is almost always a personal gain from them carrying out this action. People who have strong morals, for example, may feel better about themselves or gain personal satisfaction from helping others, while others (those you term evil) may gain satisfaction from seeing people suffer - however the end goal is still the same (personal benefit)
Your perception that people are 'evil' out of spite to me seems a little misguided - Spite is where someone acts in such a way that not only injures the person it is aimed at, but also harms themselves. This may not seem to fit with my previous paragraph, but I would argue that this comes down to a trade-off: I am willing to suffer by 'x' amount, in order to gain by 'y' amount in, say, satisfaction from seeing you suffer. When 'y' appears to be greater than 'x', that's when you get spite.

Afternoon, :-}
I think to understand something truly, taking your example of evil - you have to have been evil, be evil or have experienced evil.
I haven't so I really can't give you an honest answer - but what I can say is, by doing something evil, your welcoming the consequences later on in life. Yet I carry no sympathy for the evil!
Thank You
Have A Good Day!

That is a good question and I think it some how comes down to karmic dept that has to be paid
How do you know that evil person was not you in a past life and they are just returning the karma : )
The Law of Karma is perfect justice. This is reassuring in a world that can appear to be unjust.
Love & Blessings

Most people who are spiteful and do evil towards others do so because they imagine that these other people have something better than they do. It's very childish.

Because it is what they are - evil beings. Why would evil entities do otherwise? They get pure pleasure from inflicting harm on their victims, the more their victims get scared and in real agony, the more they are gleeful.

People who are truly evil get as much enjoyment out of hurting people as good people get by helping others.

If you are a psychopath (and about 1 person in every 100 is) then you cannot feel any empathy for others, you cannot imagine what it is like to be in their shoes, so this makes it very easy for psychopaths to hurt other people. They literally have no conscience and can feel no sense of guilt.

I agree what you say, the only time they are happy is when they are hurting someone else, they are not happy people and yea what do they get out of it Nothing!, they only do more harm to themselves in the long run.
