Like the poster above said there are 2 equations and 4 unknowns. But you can simplify the expression to solve for m.

You have m = (6-3y)/n and y = (6x+7)/8

So combining them you get

m = [6 - 3(6x+7)/8]/n
m = [48 - 3(6x+7)]/(8n)
m = (27 - 18x)/(8n)

m = 9(3 - 2x)/(8n)

Where is the x in the first eq.?

I assume you meant:
3y + mx = 6 ..... (1)
8y - 6x = 7 ..... (2)

And what I think you mean is that (10, 2) is a solution of (1), since it is not a solution of (2)

Put y = 10, x = 2 in (1)
3(10) + 2m = 6
20 + 2m = 6
2m = 6 - 20
2m = -14
m = -7

you can not find the answer. because there are 2 equations 4 unknowns.
you can't find any unknown from those 2 equations.
there is no formula, if you have two unknowns & two equations just solve for one unknown in terms of other(unknown) and put it in the other then you get the answer.
