Why is colombia at war?

Im not sure if it is war but i I hear so many people are getting killed...why?

Partially because Cuba's thugs in in the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia(FARC) and so-called "National Liberation Army"(ELN) have been spending decades trying to force it to become a communist dictatorship, and parially because of the drug cartels.
