Prostitution is absolutely ILLEGAL in Clark County, which is where Las Vegas is. Only certain counties in Nevada have licensed brothels where you can legally purchase services of a licensed prostitute. The closest brothels to Las Vegas are in Nye county. The township closest to Las Vegas in Nye county is Pahrump. You can drive there or they will pick you up. Be prepared to spend up to $500 or more altogether for a "decent" experience. These brothels do not have gaming, their only revenue is from the brothel owner taking a cut from the girls, and liquor sales.
There is definitely prostitution in Las Vegas, and it is very easy to find. However, none of it is legal. The cops enforce prostitution laws in Las Vegas just like anywhere else, maybe even stricter as the city is trying to clean up it's image. Prostitutes in Las Vegas are either street hookers or in-room entertainers. The local phone book section of these entertainers is about half the size of the whole phone book. Remember these girls are not tested weekly as the girls in the legal brothels are. They also may try to scam you. If you want a good time without the worries, go to a legal brothel.
Final note: The Mayor of Las Vegas has been pushing, for a few years now, to legalize prostitution in a small part of the city which would be called a Red Light District. Even though Mayor Goodman is very popular here, nobody has really been paying much attention to this idea of his.

Prostitution is illegal in Las Vegas and in Clark County. You can travel to Pahrump where it is legal.
While there are "escorts" and "entertainers" "dancers" that are plentiful, there are also stings and most of the "professionals" work for a "service". The service does the advertising and gets the call and sends the representative on the call. The representative has to pay the service around $175.00 for the actual call. They make their money in tips over and above the agency fee which is generally paid in advance. The prices are ridiculous and 99% of the time you don't get the model in the picture that made you call in the first place.
What happens in Vegas pays in Vegas.

Prostitution is legal in most counties in Nevada; it is heavily regulated, and is generally legal only in the context of licensed brothels. Prostitution outside brothels is technically illegal, but of course that doesn't stop it in Las Vegas any more than it does anywhere else.

It isn't legal in Vegas but is legal in 11 rural counties in legal brothels. Prostitutes must pass a background check and health checks. See the link for the rules and whatnot.

It's legal in parts of Nevada, but NOT in Las Vegas. Even then, it's only legal in the licensed brothels.

Prostitution is totally illegal in Clark County (Las Vegas). You will find some "street walkers" selling their "wares" in Las Vegas, but both they and their customers are subject to arrest.

Prostitution outside licensed brothels is a misdemeanor in Nevada.Nevada has laws against engaging in prostitution outside of licensed brothels, against encouraging others to become prostitutes, and against living off the proceeds of a prostitute. Brothels are also not allowed to advertise their services in counties where brothel prostitution is illegal.
