The whole thing about swallowing spiders in your sleep is a load of cobblers. Have a look here to find out why:

http://www.straightdope.com/mailbag/mspidereat.html

As for them crawling on you in your sleep, it's not that likely when you think about all the other places they have in your room - spiders run from things that are moving around, just as you do in your sleep. To the spider, a person is not a good place to hang out. They're much more likely to spend time in dark corners, under furniture etc.

Remember that spiders don't like Lavender - so the use of Lavender oil in your room will keep them at bay.

Sleep tight!

I don't know and don't care how many spiders crawl over me. Why worry about them? Do common house spiders carry and spread diseases dangerous to humans? I have seen no evidence that they do. So why fear them?

I can't remember the last time I killed a spider. Whenever I see one in the house I gently pick it up and put it outside with a feeling of apology for disturbing the poor, hardworking little sod.

Furthermore, spiders devour the most detestable of insects, the housefly. If I see a fly in the house I will track it until I can finish it off with a spray. This detestation dates to WW2. En route to the Far East in a troopship we were lectured and shown slides and films concerning health and hygiene. A particular film showed a fly feeding on a human or an animal turd and then settling on a plate of food, where it regurgitated its previous meal before feeding again.

The moral is: regard spiders as friendly aliens and flies as enemy aliens. Eat in a restaurant where there may be spiders but NEVER where there are flies buzzing around, unless you want a dose of Delhi belly. Oh! and don't sleep with your mouth open or you might swallow a fly. Yac!!!! No need to worry about the spiders, though. They prefer the housemites on your bedclothes to what's in your mouth.

I'm not scared of spiders, but whilst in Australia last year, and sleeping in a house on the beach, I was woken by something crawling over my arm. My instinct was to knock it off. I went back to sleep as I didn't want to switch on the light and disturb my sister in the adjoining room (no door)
My sister has just got to be the most arachnophobic person ever, so I didn't say anything about it in the morning.
When making my bed however, I found the offending creature under the pillow! Even I jumped, and still unable to say anything, smuggled the little monster out.
I'll never tell her, as we're returning to the same place next year. She'd never come with me if she knew!

I've heard that on average, a person eats about 8 spiders in a lifetime, and that there are a certain number of insect legs in a chocolate bar, 16 I think, but the crawling thing, most likely more.

it would be extraordinarily no longer likely that spiders would flow slowly right into a individual's mouth or nostril on an analogous time as they sound asleep. For one element we flow around plenty on an analogous time as we are sound asleep and this would deter a spider from even crawling on you, no longer to point enter any orifice, notably one that's moist and darkish. respiratory with the aid of your mouth or nostril would additionally deter a spider from stepping into and maximum abode spiders are too enormous to greater healthful right into a nostril in spite of everything. Spiders, like only approximately all arthropods, flee from breath. inspite of each little thing, there are various vertebrates that consume arthropods, and in case you're an arthropod and something is respiratory on you, it rather is not a good concept to adhere around.....

They do say that....but remember it depends a lot on where you live! It's a worldwide average. I'm 50 and I've NEVER had a spider crawl on me when I've been awake and I live in Australia (the home of the deadly funnel web and red back).

I have seen them but they're NOT worth losing sleep over. Be thankful you don't live somewhere like a jungle or rainforest where they're EVERYWHERE!!!

Stay sane and enoy your sleep time.

Please consider the fact that there is a species of spider that is parasitc in nature, and will seek out a host that provides a warm moist environment in which to lay its eggs (throat, ears even documented cases of nasal passages)

The mature spider upon laying its cache will die due to the constrictions and involuntary movements and spasms of the human host but the hatchlings, owing to their diminutive size and maliable skeletal structure will instinctively move to cooler climes, ie out the way its parent entered

tickly throat anyone ?

The best solution is to gain control over it. As someone already said, stop when you're getting there and relax. Pay more attention to pleasuring your mate--orally, perhaps--and avoid rubbing your penis up against anything while doing so. It will take work on your part and patience on both parts. As a last resort, some antidepressants curb sexual functioning with the intention of learning the pleasure of restraint after which you could taper off them. Here's your goal: the longer you can delay your orgasm, the more intense it will be. So it isn't just a matter of satisfying your mate. This is the main reason some claim stoned sex is better, unlike drunk sex which can leave you unable to perform (brewer's droop). You enjoy exploring each other longer. And remember, oral isn't just one place. It's all over, paying particular attention to kissing, and TALK about what each of you like. Strange how people don't talk about sex when they're the ones doing it.
