Consider the size of the Universe. If we were the only ones here - wouldn't that be the greatest miracle of them all? No, we cannot be the only ones around. The question remains: if there are others, why are they not making official contact?
I have a theory: those who could, are far too evolved to hang out with people like us ... not a very uplifting thought but here it is.

Its hard to either say yes or no, or say if they are simple or complex. The only thing I can say is that we are here, so there is a chance of other life. As far as the life forms being more or less advanced than we are is anyone's guess. Since its likely that the distance between us cannot be bridged using current technology (at least on our part), the other life forms are probably wondering the same thing.
In addition, I'd like to think that they have been here longer than us. Human civilization is too flawed and is also in its infancy...that and its nice to imagine that at least somebody in this universe has found the answer to Utopia, whatever that might be in respect to their race and/or civilization.
Hey that could be the answer to why God isn't around, like he was in the beginning. He's probably creating start-ups on other galaxies. He's probably hanging out with his new "chosen ones" after he's seen what a bunch of out of control, misbehaving creatures we are. He's making the follow-up/sequel to the original bible and has given them the rights. lol.

Yes, its a no brainer really if you know much beyond a grade shool level of astronomy.
There are 300-400 BILLION stars in OUR galaxy ALONE. The odds of there being NO other planet with life on one of those is ZERO. The odds of thier being no intelligent life on one of those is also zero if you ask any scientist who knows much about anything. And we have no idea how many other galaxies ther are, most likely it is in the trillions, and we know for sure its in the hundreds of billions! Oh and keep in mind our galaxy is a small one.
We have found evidence of past water for sure on mars, and possibly past life as well. Now go back and remember there are 300-400 billion stars in our galaxy, and the odds that the majority of stars stable enough to keep planets have life on them sky rockets!!
Is their a santa clause? Yes Virginia apperently there are billions and billions, near by even.
Anyone who answers no, needs to open a children's astronomy book and spend more than 3 seconds thinking about this.
Even scientists who say there can't be intelligent life visiting the Earth now are in happy happy la la land.
It baffles me this is even a serious question for so many of us primitive Earthlings. We have a long way to go yet before we grow up I geuss. Guy above me still thinks the world is flat, no wonder the aliens don't openly speak with Earthlings, a large portion of us would just freak out and try to kill them as demons or something, it saddens me.

Yes. Odds. There are simply too many other planetary systems in the universe to figure that we are on the only life-bearing one. The recent movie, "Alien Planet," does an excellent job of explaining this.

Yes!... I think there is life on some other planet!
Even intelligent life, why not? Our Universe is so big, that
the possibility is enormous! But the distances form the closest star system is so grate.... that we will probably never find out.

Probably, but rather than worrying about them and spending millions to find out, I think the money would be better spent caring for our own planet and the people on it.
Why should earth be the only populated planet? Why would an omnipotent God only create the one? (Unless he learned what a mistake it was, given the mess we've made).

I can't believe that taking into account the vastness of the Universe that there is no other planet out there that has life on it.
The chances of no life anywhere else in the universe are tiny.

I think there is a good chance that there is.
How or what it looks like I have no idea, but I do know that it only needs the right temperature, air etc to form life, just as it did on earth - and without any sort of so-called spiritual help.
Adam and Eve? HA! Don`t make me laugh!!!! LOL

yes i think so, bcoz yet we can know that there in space billions of planet are available. and like we are living here and try to study and search about other planet, same the way on the other planet human is possible. like our earth have characteristic of water, air, soil, light. other may also have, WHY NOT?

Considering the vastness of our galaxy and the endless number of solar systems within it; and then consider the astronomical number of galaxies in our universe. Then multiply that by the thousands of species that live on Earth. You can't really believe that our miniscule little speck of dust planet is the only one with life on it, without conceeding the idea that we are intelligent.
