Ok, so I have been searching the internet all night looking for a particular movie. I remember a scene in this movie where a guy wrecks his car, and is severly injured in the in the wreck, he takes the car key and puts it in the wound in his chest and it wraps around his heart. After he recovers he can control the car. What is the name of this movie?

I know it is not Christine, The Wraith, or Duel. I've looked at these movies in the course of internet searching. This movie could have been made in the 70s too.
