honestly if you are allergic,, there are some breeds that have a reputation for being hypoallergenic,, but generally it is not the "hair" but the skin dander people are allergic to..SO depite hype and claims,, any dog of any breed can cause a allergice respose in people.. Honestly that is why you do see so many "hypoallergenic breeds" in resuce.. Cause guess what once the sale was made.. and the dog was not Hypoallegenic,, people got rid of the dog..
so any dog could trigger it,,, and also can happen sooner or later.. If you are honestly allergic to dogs,, than truthfully dog ownership is not for you..
Voulenteer at a rescue for a good amount of time..Work with the dogs, interact with them See what happens BEFORE you get a dog,, some dogs some breeds seem to make a diffrence.. and see if you are miserable with allergies,, or not..
If you find you can be around dogs in general... Also you will get first hand experice working with dogs, and diffrent breeds and mixes.. to see what suites your lifestyle and personality..
Again, keep in mind allergies can develop overtime.. so you have to make some serious decisions as to what your limits are,, and what will happen to the dog,, if you do have a severe allergic reaction to it,,
The whole point is,, you do not want to adopt, buy or get a dog only to find out you cannot keep it because of your allergies,, not only is it UNFAIR to the dog, but a very unplesant deal for you..

I would get a poodle as they don't lose their fur! its more of 'hair' that theyve got, not fur!
