Rod Stewart - For The First Time

Lyrics below:
Are those your eyes
Is that your smile
Ive been looking at you forever
Yet I never saw you before
Are these your hands holding mine
Now I wonder how I could have been so blind
And for the first time I am looking in your eyes
For the first time Im seeing who you are
I cant believe how much I see
When youre looking back at me
Now I understand what love is, love is
For the first time

Can this be real
Can this be true
Am I the person I was this morning
And are you the same you
Its all so strange
How can it be
All along this love was right in front of me
And for the first time I am looking in your eyes
For the first time Im seeing who you are
I cant believe how much I see
When youre looking back at me
Now I understand what love is, love is
For the first time

Such a long time ago I had given up
On finding this emotion ever again
But youre here with me now
Yes I found you somehow
And Ive never been so sure
And for the first time I am looking in your eyes
For the first time Im seeing who you are
Cant believe how much I see
When youre looking back at me
Now I understand what love is, love is
For the first time
For the first time

There are a few good ones. I chose 'beyond the sea' by bobby darrin. It was appropriate cos we got married whilst my husband was on his leave (currently deployed in iraq). But some good choices are:

# Aerosmith - Don't Wanna Miss A Thing
# Bryan Adams - Everything I Do (I Do It For You)
# Lonestar - Amazed
# Shania Twain - You're Still The One
# Shania Twain - From This Moment
# Van Morrison - Have I Told You Lately
# James Blunt - You're Beautiful
# Savage Garden - Truly Madly Deeply
# Robbie Williams - Angels

A fun idea, which my brother did at his wedding, is to get the dj to play a funny song as you head up to the dance floor and then when you get ready to dance the dj changes it to your proper song. My brother chose the simpsons (he loves the simpsons), when i heard the music i was like 'ohh nooo they cant seriously dance to that', then i realised it was a joke. It was pretty damn funny. Just an idea. It lightens up the seriousness of it all :o)

What was the first song the two of you ever danced to? If that doesn't work, I like, "This is My Promise to You" by No Mercy (they were a one-hit-wonder back in the '90's-I'm sure you could find the song somewhere on the Internet) or" Annie's Song" by John Denver or "From This Moment On" by Shania Twain.

Hi - I had 'Can you feel the love tonight' from The Lion King, because its a film thats special to me and hubby. You cant think about whats cool or what other people like, instead watch your favourite movie or listen to a favourite album, one that always makes you happy, and go from there.

Have fun choosing!xx

Listen to 'Turn Me On' from the Norah Jones album 'Come away with me'. Even if you are not sure about Norah Jones' music, you listen to these words - perfect for the occasion.
