Peace and blessings!

The Pentecostal churches, like many other Protestant churches, do not recognize the authority of the Roman Catholic pope. They do not venerate the Blessed Virgin Mary, believe in the communion of saints, or the real presence of Christ in the Holy Eucharist. Generally, they only observe two sacraments (Communion and Baptism), rather than the seven sacraments of Catholicism. They do, however, place a great deal of emphasis on the Holy Spirit, particularly as manifested by speaking in tongues. The Pentecostals are also often Biblical literalists, believing in the infallibility of the Scriptures.

What's the difference ? Actually none !

Both are man's ideas of trying to build God's Church with their own mind.

They failed to consult The Lord Jesus Christ Who alone is able to build His Church which is also His Body and He is the Head of the Church (HIS BODY)

When The Lord starts to moves all these denominations will just evaporates away and merged as One-in-Christ

Oh what a glorious day that will be !

I think you mean Pentacostal? They believe in the day of Pentacost that took place in the upper room where the Holy Ghost was poured out. Most true Pentacostals call themselves apolstolic pentacostals, because the Assemblys of God are also considered pentacostal. The Assemblies and Catholics are Trinity. They believe God is made up of 3 co-exist persons-all knowing-all powerful coincidinding in one God head. Jesus does not know the day he is coming back. So I guess they are keeping secrets in that God-head. Also blaspheming the son will be forgiven. Blaspheming the Holy Ghost will not be forgiven. So the trinity thing doesn't hold water. The Catholic Church was formed for the Government. Basically a man wanted to be emperor. He knew if he could control the Christians he would win. He did. The Catholics tried to kill all the true Christians and changed the Apostles Creed at Nicea. To introduce the trinity. Every Christian in the Bible was Baptised in Jesus name. Not father son and Holy Ghost. Every Christian in the Bible recieaved the Holy Ghost as evidenced by speaking in tongues. Most Pentacostals adhere to the doctrines of the bible. Women don't wear pants, make-up, or Jewery. Or cut thier hair. Its all in the bible. It is all commandments. Those that Love me keep my commandments. PUT IT LIKE THIS. Everybody says ask Jesus to come into your heart. How do you know he's there?? Out of a mans mouth procedth forth the things of his heart. The bible shows that when Jesus enters the heart. That person speaks in tongues. Thats the bible. Thats what pencostals believe. People that don't believe this. Don't believe the bible. Which means false doctrine. The bible says- Call no earthly man your father, for we all have but one father, and he is in heaven. The Catholics call the Pope- THE HOLY FATHER. Get it??

pentacosts are protestants and use the king james bible. catholics use the catholic bible. pentacosts are extreme fundamentalists and i dont believe they do communinon. BUT thats about all they dont do! faith healing, speaking in tongues, snake handling, and other stuff are all part of their services, (from time to time).

the catholic church is huge and world wide. pentacosts are much smaller and primarily in rural areas of the south, (in the U.S. of A i think).

i think my grandparents were pentacost...but they may have been good ol' southern baptists. whatever the case, when i was a kid, i remember a penatacostal church by their house and on sunday mornings that place was going off and whatever was going on their, was loud and a little scarrey to this 6-10 yr old.

pentecostals tend to put emphasis on speaking in tongues, falling down in the spirit and most services tend to have alot of music etc........i am unsure as to other practices and structures so there is no need to add anything else. they seek the lord as do catholics i am not about to put them down for that.

as for catholics, the catholic mass for me is the ultimate most perfect form of worship as prescribed from god through the bible. the glory and adoration when properly understood is next to none and is the pinnacle of the chrsitian faith. the eucharist and everything is just beautiful. here are some sites that will go into more detail for you, i cannot muster the words to express how glorious it all is.

I am not penticostal, but I have always understood that basically, that religion is Christian, but just some things are done differently than other protestant religions. Example: They have foot washings, where, the premise is that because Jesus washed the feet of his disciples at the last supper, showing humility, they do it in honor of his example to us to remind us to be humble and kind to our peers and others and that we are no better than our "servants". I am not really familiar with Catholic belief, except they are Christian also, but have more rituals in their worship than protestants do, and they believe in praying through Mary and other saints, to act as go-betweens for us to God. But since I am protestant, I can say for sure what I believe, and that is that because Jesus gave his life for us on calvary, to atone for our sins, and because of his example to us, we are to pray to God the father and no one else, not even to Jesus. Jesus does say that he will intervene for us, but our prayers are to be addressed to God. I do not however, believe that Catholics are anymore or less going to get into heaven than I am, because what counts is our own personal relationship with God the father and whether we are saved by grace through belief that Jesus Christ is the only begotten son of god. period. So, I would say, Pentecostals are more protestant in nature and the big difference is that Catholics pray to Mary and other saints, while they do not. But the theology, or message, if you will, is the same, basically, that Jesus is Lord and God is the one true God, while other deities do not exist, except as the pagans worshipped idols or mythological characters. Mohammed is not God's son, therefore cannot atone for our sins, neither can any other idol, man or fictional god. So, when comparing major religions, what matters is the message (sift through the rituals) that it is true to what the Bible teaches. That there is only one God, and his name is Jehovah, Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. the great I AM. If you are not a Christian, read the Bible and repent is my advice. I must tell you this, since if your soul ends up in hell at your death, it will be on my conscience and God will hold me responsible for not telling you of the truth.
Trust only in God, read your Bible and study it well. Do not be deceived by anyone, not even me. Pray and ask God to reveal the truth to you. Your question is interesting, because it does not hurt any of us to try to understand other religions and their beliefs or differences in worship and why. Just be sure you are worshiping only God, not a man, or idol, or any saint, etc.

Pentecostals are roll on the floor screaming gibberish fanatics.

Catholics are more moderate. Many of them are even capable of independent thought. For Christians, that is saying a lot.
