I am a 14 year old girl and my parents are starting to ground me more often than they spank me. I hate getting grounded. I'd rather get a spanking and get it over with. Sure, it is awkwad, I agree, since I may be a little old to get an over the lap spanking, but, even though it hurts like heck, I'd rather get spanked than get grounded. Am I weird?

Talk to your mom and dad. Tell them how you feel. Tell them you would rather take a spanking then get grounded. They can use other positions to be spanked in. rather than over the knee. For example the Diaper position, which is where you lie on your back with your feet up in the air. The spanking/sit spot of the butt is totally exposed at that point.
I will tell you this, when my daughter was 14 we, my wife and I , stopped spanking her and grounded her instead. She came to us after 6 months and made a contract with us. She wanted the same thing, to be spanked instead. The agreement was, if she did something that was hurtful to herself and to others that would be a spank-able offense. Lieing and things like that, what we as Christians called sinful actions, would also get her spanked. Anything else she would get grounded for.
For the next 2 years, she got spanked at least once a month. Then they began to taper off and by the time she was 18 she didn't get spanked at all. She is now 25 and owns her own business.
Do that make a contract with your mom and dad and tell them this is what you want. However be prepared to being spanked for a while yet like my daughter.

wow, then u have done something baaad. if i was your age, i would take the spanking instead of the grounding. its either a one time thing or no privileges. but it is kinda wierd that they still spank u. and plus a 14 year old girl . what could a 14 year old girl do thats so bad, get knocked up? i dont know.

Wow ... getting spanked sure ain't fun; definitely no picnic!!
The hairbrush or belt can really HURT big time, esp. on the bare butt.
Don't know about girls, but for guys, bout the only thing worse than a serious whacking is being grounded for DAYS.
As I say, a spanking sure HURTS ... but really, it is no big deal either. (As long as it is just a whacking or licking; but not a beating!)

No a lot of kids would prefer getting spanked than grounded - it's soon over, they don't have to think further about the consequences, and they have become desensitised to it anyway.
Thanks for showing just why routine spanking doesn't work! Being grounded is obviously a more effective punishment for you.

Yeah sorry it's a bit weird, especially as I assume it's your dad that does the spanking. I'm hoping you don't do things on purpose to get punished. Surely you don't.
Perhaps you should think up an alternative punishment that is agreeable to both you and your parents. Or, get better at not getting caught.
