To get rid off your tummy fat, you need to do:
1. Cardio exercise (running, swimming, walking, biking.....) for at least 30 mins per session, 3-4 times per week. This will crank up your metabolism to burn off fat from your entire body
2. Strength-train with weights for at least 15 mins per session, 3-4 times per week. This will boost your muscle growth and as muscle is metabolically active, the more muscle you've, the higher your metabolism and the more calories you'll burn, to lose weight
3. Eat a healthy, weight loss, nutritious diet that's well-balanced but low in fat calories
I've to warn you that tummy fat is the hardest to get rid off, so give yourself time and your patience is really, really needed.

Tummyfat means high levels of animal fat in your diet ie animal fat from meat, dairy products etc. Its so hard to get rid of that fat, its the last place to lose weight, to do so, try and do lots of cardio work outs, i do boxing and i find that that work out really focuses on the abs and its the only thing i have find that gets rid of it.... along with that i also try and jog and skip to keep the cardio workout up... basically anything that gets the heart rate up rather than just body building/muscle strengthening. Also sit ups can of course help.
As for food the best foods are high fibre type foods such as vegies, fruit, grains, etc of course dont eliminate animal products just cut down a little.

It's important to remember that you can't "spot reduce" - the body just doesn't work that way. Exercise will reduce your total amount of body fat, but it will come off from all over your body. Depending on genetics, some areas will lose more fat than others.
Healthy diet, cardio and weight training will help reduce the amount of fat you carry and increase the amount of muscle you have.
