is it legal to make a person work with no breaks and must eat at desk for lunch time?

Breaks are only required if the person is under 18 and works for 4.5 or more hours.

I doubt that breaks are required by law. It is legal to make a person eat at his/her desk, however, you must be paid if the meal break is under 20 minutes or if you are still "working" at your desk while you eat.

However, there may be some fine points in the law in Michigan that differ from the state I'm in. Check out the state's website.

Go to your Michigan Department of Labor, Wage & Hour division. You can determine the rules. You employer should have these rules prominately displayed in the work place.

There are rules on breaks concerning a;ll employees, regardless of age.

If I were you I would concentrate on finding another job.
