I'll be leaving for Australia is 2 days, and i just got sunburnnnnnd on Tuesday. I don't think it's that serious, becuase it's only red, with no open sores or whatever. It just really uncomfortable.

My question is, what can i do to help it heal faster. Anything that i could concoct at home?

I am unsure how to heal it fast. However I can tell you taking a tepid bath, with some oatmeal added will help soothe it. Also applying aloe vera gel will help also.

the best thing to do is stay moisturized all the time. don't go in pools because the chlorine dries it out, and don't take really hot showers ( it will hurt anyway). apply aloe vera gel (the kind without lots of added ingredients like lidocaine work best) and moisturizer ( the kind wihtout scents or colors is better because they could irritate the skin more). taking an aspirin can reduce the swelling and make it heal faster, besides making you less uncomfortable. also, drink alot of water. good luck!

There is some kind of green gel stuff, i forget what it is called but it has some kind of plant on it. When i was little i got sunburn and it worked realy good, you can get it at stores. If you don't know what i mean, lol then go to a pharmacy and get something there.

Cool off your skin with a cool-cold shower- as cold as you can stand. Afterwards apply aloe vera gel/lotion- If it is painful get the one with lidocaine. I am usually better the next day and I burn easy. Keep it covered as much as possible.
