On 6/18/07 KZAP Club 96.7 made a format switch to KPIG Radio. (The call letters remain KZAP). KPIG is a legendary AAA-Americana format station based in the Monterey Bay/Santa Cruz region. It simulcasts in SF, San Louis Obispo and on the web. The company that started Club96.7 (Regent Communications) sold to Mapleton Communications in 2006. Mapleton, which owns KPIG, decided to replace the hiphop station.
