if he was the son of God, he can not sin, or if he was God. So this so called divine man comes knowing that he can stop the crusifix, kills himself for us.........so to say. So God had to SIN to save us......he is not the messiah, for he is no better than us. does 2 wrongs make a right? Sin for a sin? So God is now a sinner now is he, a murderer of himself. He knows we can not help but to sin. He will save us another way. Not because we are retarted in sin and need a saviour. He will grace us with his love and power, He just wants us to follow his laws and try not to sin. Or if you seek him you can obey all his laws heartfully. The laws of God are not something wicked, but to direct you. He did not write these laws just to kill himself to save us from them. Why write them??????????????

You need to know that God gave us the Moral Law, the knowledge what is right and what is wrong. He just did not give it to us, He IS the Moral Law. His laws does not apply to Him. Hi is the giver of life and He takes it away.

Jesus did not kill Himself. He fulfilled the Bible prophecy. You are right. He could have saved Himself, but He did what He came to do. He died so that your sins are never going to separate you from God if you accept Him as your Lord and Savior.

The part of accepting Him as a Savior is also to do good and not to sin anymore, but like you said, we cannot help but sinning. That is why we need to go to communion for forgiveness of our sins and to remember what god did for us on the cross.

He wrote those laws to protect us. Sin was serious, but with His mercy and grace, He took care of the sin problem so that we can concentrated to do what is good and not to be scared that we will go to hell if we do not quite measure up. We will never be right with God with our deeds. We are right with God only because He did what He did.

There is a difference between killing yourself and laying down your life so that others can live. Jesus laid His life down so that we could live. As to your last question, the law was written to teach us what sin is, and what a perfect and holy God requires. Once we know what God requires and that it is impossible for us to live up to those requirements, it's supposed to lead us to the understanding that we need a Savior. Jesus Christ is that Savior. According to God's law, sin can only be forgiven by the shedding of blood. Jesus Christ is the Lamb of God without blemish. In other words, He was perfect. Therefore His shed blood meets the requirements for the forgiveness of sin. All a person has to do is believe it and they are no longer condemned under the law. Peace.

No. He didn't do all those terrible things to Himself! Sure, He could've stopped it by calling upon legions of angels to come to his defense, but He knew the Father's will was to perform this sacrifice so that man could go straight to God for repentance instead of having to rely on a priest who may have sin in his own life to anoint an altar with blood from a sacrifice that couldn't lay down it's life WILLINGLY for our benefit! The people who performed these acts against Him could've made personal choices NOT to do them, but either way, SOMEONE would've had to do it, for had Jesus killed Himself, it would've been sin and therefore his sacrifice would've been nullified. The Law was written to show us how IMPOSSIBLE it would be to try and attain and maintain salvation by Law! As I described above, there were too many problems with the sacrament of atonement under Law pertaining to the spiritual condition of the priesthood seeking repentance on behalf of the people, and the fact that the sacrifices, while they were taken from homes where they were treated as pets more than livestock, were STILL incapable of going to their deaths WILLINGLY for the sins of the people. This is why the atonement sacrament had to be prepared every year! Without it, anyone who died in their sins BETWEEN atonements was DOOMED to Hell!

Jesus did not kill himself, he volunteered to be the perfect blood sacrifice (perfect because of no sins) so that we, in Him may find eternal life. Our sins killed Him, not Himself. So He did not sin, no more than a murdered child sins by being murdered. Jesus didn't look forward to be beaten and killed the way He was, in fact for a moment He was afraid, but did it for all the people it will touch and save, anyway!

For exemple, let's say it is war and the enemy army came into your house, and you are married and have children, and they as you if you're ready to die to save your family, and you say yes (not that you consider taking your own life, but to save those you love) that is not a sin. Jesus took the punishment for all of us so we are right with God.
It is a grand gesture of true love.

That was His mission here on earth to die for our sins but also the mission was not finished till He was resurected by the Father, to have victory over death, the devil and it's darkness.

Yes suicide is considered a sin, but Jesus did not do this. The fact that he never sinned was the only reason why he could take our place and die for our sins. He was perfect and although he was all powerful, he never used his power to help himself, only others. He could have stopped his death, and he was extremely nervous about it. He prayed to his Father and in fact, sweated blood over it. He suffered through torture and one of the most gruesome types of capital punishment ever invented because that was God's will. He loved us that much to send his son in our place.

supposedly his choice to sacrifice his life is technically suicide yet it did set an extreme example of self sacrifice and changed the world to some degree for the underdog. maybe it didn;t wipe all sins away but the good it did outweighed the sacrifice that normally is dificualt to justify under normal circumstances . I ask you how many supposedly Christians would set them selves ablaze in protest as did several Buddhist monks in protest of the killing in the viet nam war which raised the consiousness of the people and helped to end the killing. I can't say I have the courage but who would do the same to end the sensless killing in Iraq today?
peace

Jesus did not kill himself, but he sacrifice himself for our sins for he forgive all of us. If you read Matthew in the Bible, Jesus wanted to teach us sin and how to repent. Jesus actually planned to sacrifice himself to destroy the temple and to forgive all of our sins by the blood of the lamb

I think the hard part was on Judas and how he let him be a murderer. Because, as you say, he knew and Judas must have known also, but if he didnt betray jesus then there would be no cruxifiction aaaand no messiah.
