Just put N. A. on the space which means not applicable. However, if your baby sitting experience has something to do with the job you are applying for you should put it there even if it is only for one day. Use black ink when you fill up an application form. Answer all questions and put N.A. in those questions which do not apply to you.

Peace and blessings!

Write n/a so they know you didn't just forget to fill that part in, or you can write "student". Either way is fine and will not count against you unless they are looking for experience. The babysitting doesn't count as employment.

When I was in your shoes a few years ago; I asked my grandma who was a human resources manager. She had me put all my baby-sitting jobs, and odd jobs on it. She told me to put the date that I started and ended employment where indicated for each job. The only difference is that where it asks you to put the reason for leaving employer, put "Job Completed". Also she told me that most human resource managers will automatically throw out any application with misspellings. So be very careful and check your spelling. Also print as neatly as you possibly can. After her help, I got hired baby-sitting jobs and all!

Good Luck!

If you have never worked, you said it is your first job, then just leave that section blank and write in it that you have not had a job before. It will not be held against you.
