No. I think you're probably a nice guy (Buddhists are commonly great people) but I don't know you personally so I won't make that assumption.

Nope. I have no evil associations with anything Buddhist.
I fondly remember an enclave of monks that would regularly - but not frequently - make the 30 mile round trip commute to the burger stand where I was once employed, to buy a round of milkshakes. A free book on Buddhist teachings I acquired at the Chinese New Year of the *rooster* (stupid yahoo bot doesn't like coq) profoundly influenced me the weekend of the parade.
Where are all the anti-Buddhists, anyway? I don't recall coming across them...

No.
I do think that some people think of Buddhists as being against God, or anti-religion.
I usually don't mention to people that I'm Buddhist and practice zazen. There are too many preconceived notions of what they might think of me. I'd rather have them just know me as "me". This way they get a personalized opinion of me first, then, if I somehow mention that I'm Buddhist, they already know me for real. Next time they meet someone who says they are Buddhist, maybe, they will be less like to pre-judge them. Get it?

I think all religions basically teach the same tenets and it is some men who for their ulterior motives distort the teachings of the Founders of various religions and the great sages of the past.
Buddha taught compassion, love, renunciation, honesty, non-violence etc.
If you are a true Buddhist and practice these virtues , you simply cannot be evil.

No. Im jewish and we believe that every single human being has the ability to be a righteous human being and so merit a place in the World To Come. Non jews do this by following the 7 Noahide Laws, which are pretty much the Universal Laws found in every society on earth.
These are the pathway to bringing peace and harmony, kindness and compassion to our world, both between human beings and between human beings and God, and that is the purpose of them. There is also the prohibition against cruelty to animals in these Laws.
When a person walks these paths, they become righteous. Our Torah is full of examples of people who have done this, and these examples are found in every society, in every religion also.

Are you going to ring my doorbell on Saturday mornings? Threaten me with misery and no hope of Nirvana if I don't follow the 8 fold path? Try to get koans taught in science class?
If "no" to all of the above, then my answer is "no".

If you are happy with your religion, that is all that matters. What others think does not matter one little bit. I am an Agnostic and could care less what others think or say about it.
