Ritalin is like a legal form of spped. For your friend with the condition, it will stablize him. You on the other hand it will do the opposite. It isn't wise of you to take 1 let alone 12. I would call 911 and have them pump your stomach or give you charocoal to neutralize the chemical in your system. This cause major problems to your heart, you could overdose(Well you have overdosed) and you need to have it flushed out of your system immediately.

Did you take all 12 pills before your post or were you still taking them while you were typing. I hope that you are really just asking what the consequences would be if you did do it. If in the unlikely event that you have actually taken the pills, take everyone elses advice and call 911 if you still remember what a phone looks like. Good Luck.

Ritalin is a very dangerous drug. It is a relative of cocaine. I would try to force yourself to vomit or call poison control. Either that or go to a hospital because your heart may be in serious danger. If your body isn't used to ritalin and you just took 12 tablets of a high dose, you need to get it out of your system NOW. You could die if your heart can't handle the stress as a result of the drug.

It really depends on your body weight, the milligram of the pills and how many you actually did. Do you have a prior tolerance, like have you been doing them steady before this incident? Worst Case scenario, 240 mg in your body might kil you. I've done that before but I'm a big girl and have a high tolerance, so I don't know. That should be fun. Did you live or die?

well I'm late answering your question so whatever happened to you has already been and gone. that's if you're still with us. How stupid. I hope your friend realises how stupid he was also. Ritalin is prescribed to individual people and shouldn't be shared with anyone. no medication should be shared
At least from the answers you will realise what a very dangerous thing you did. You could have damaged your brain for ever......

You moron! 2 or 3 of those 10 mg pills will keep ya going for a day or two. Ritilan is basically pharmacutical meth. Not quite the same chemical makeup, but close. You might want to go get your stomach pumped before you have a heart attack. You obviously have a computer, research your drugs before you take them. What a dope!

What dosage were the pills? You might get yourself into trouble, but it really depends on the dosage. Ritalin is a stimilant and will get you high and you might feel hyped up and your heart will start racing. People with ADHD can also use it to get high. Most people crush it and snort it though. You probably don't need to see a doctor, but you can if you're worried.

First of all, taking someone else's medication is against the law. Secondly, you should have read the medication lable. its there for a reason-- people get seriously hurt by taking more that the prescribed amount (or taking it when they don't need it at all!!)
You need to call a doctor/hospital/911 or contact poison control ASAP.

Call the emergency number, 911, (USA) 999, (UK) or 000 (Australia) or an ambulance, or poisons information on 131126 (Australia), see phone book elsewhere. It is amphetamine related (see www.drugs.com). I would stick my fingers down my throat, and vomit them back up immediately into a container, so I could count them. Doctors/hospital will probably use a stomach pump. WHATEVER YOU DECIDE: DO IT NOW!!!
