It's astonishing that Jesus said, "'All the sins and blasphemies of men will be forgiven them. But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven; he is guilty of an eternal sin.' He said this because they were saying, 'He has an evil spirit'." (Mark 3:28-30) He said this shortly after the teachers of the law said, "He is possessed by Beelzebub! By the prince of demons he is driving out demons." Jesus was warning those men that attributing Jesus' healing to Satan's power rather than the Holy Spirit could lead to this unforgivable sin.
This shows with what reverent awe we need to consider the work of the Holy Spirit. His role is to lift up Christ and convict sinners of their sin. To fight against Christ (by ridicule and stubborn disbelief) is to insult the Spirit of Grace. Note, also, that it is not possible to blaspheme against an impersonal force or power. Only a person can be blasphemed against! Yet those who call the Holy Spirit "it" will assure you that this passage proves the Holy Spirit is NOT a person! Well, those Pharisees sneered at the idea that Christ was the Messiah. To them he was 100% human, no more, so they were warned. Let those who sneer at the idea that the Holy Spirit is not a person be warned likewise.

Throwing light on this subject are the words of Jesus: “Every kind of sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the spirit will not be forgiven. For example, whoever speaks a word against the Son of man, it will be forgiven him; but whoever speaks against the holy spirit, it will not be forgiven him, no, not in the present system of things nor in that to come.” Jesus’ words here defy explanation if the holy spirit is the third person of a coequal trinity, but they do make sense when we consider it as God’s active force. By means of this active force Jesus had cast out demons, and his opposers, in attributing this manifestation of God’s holy spirit or active force to the Devil, were blaspheming the holy spirit. Sins against God and Christ can be forgiven because such could be due to ignorance, but sins against a manifestation of God’s holy spirit are willful, deliberate and malicious, and so for such there is no forgiveness.—Matt. 12:31, 32; Heb. 10:26

I am sure you will get a dozen different responses on this one but TRUST ME I am correct here. OK here goes. The Holy Spirit has basically two purposes. One is to guide Christians in their daily lives. The other purpose of the Holy Spirit is two convict (or persuade) a person to repent of their sins and accept Jesus Christ, be saved, become a Christian, however you want to call it. Well let's say you say "no way I will not accept Jesus Christ". Well let's say you keep saying that over and over again. What you are doing is rejecting the Holy Spirit of conviction. There can come a time when you refuse to accept Jesus Christ and you are so dead set against Jesus Christ that the Holy Spirit will not try to persuade you any more. That my friend, means you have blasphemed the Holy Spirit. I pray my friend you never do that.

Blasphemy Against the Spirit...It Is the breaking away of the foundation of the faith..Consequently when the foundation breaks everything else false when tested and can never be rebuilt.....
Think about what jesus said to the disciples when he told them that the holy Spirit will decend upon you....and after the apostle where filled with the holy spirit and spoke in tongues and other marvelous things....Sometimes the spirit is not like that with everybody, but we know that through baptism the holy spirit through christ comes upon us and we become filled....
If we seperate from the very thing that came to us then are whole baptism is or never really happened there for you state of grace is lost and your salvation can never be..

When Jesus was on earth performing miracles through the power of the Spirit the religious leaders who were jealous of Him and who knew better told people that Jesus cast out demons by the power of the Devil. It is not possible to commit that sin any more. The only unforgivable sin nowadays is to go to the grave without trusting in Jesus for your salvation.

it has a constant verb tense. by blaspheming the Spirit, you are "pushing Him away". the further He is, the harder it is to accept. eventually, you never repent and are never forgiven.
