Discrimination is Discrimination....Regardless.
Should it be illegal, yes, and i believe it is. But please remember my friend, ignorance, racism, and discrimination, like cockroaches, will out live us all.
All we can do is voice our opinions, make our voices heard, and do our part as individuals...one person at a time.

Interesting concept but unfortunately religious discrimination goes on far too often even though it is illegal (at least in this country) When I was a child the village I grew up in was predominately Catholic and we were in the small minority of Lutherans. The usual teasing, shunning, tormenting followed but also I was told at 5 that I was going to hell --of which I had no concept of and thankfully once I attained my relgious majority I left both religions behind and became a Pagan and married my Best Beloved. In some countries Humans are killed for being the wrong religion just as they can be for being Homosexual.
I think George Carlin said it best: "Religion is like a lift in your shoe. It bears you up and keeps you from falling. Just don't *make* me wear your shoes; and let's not go down and nail shoes onto the Natives' feet!"
Blessings.

1) .... eh? You are implying no one has ever given up homosexuality? That is the one sin someone cannot rid their heart of? No matter what they will always want it? That just seems too prejudiced. You are saying they are helpless, unable to change themselves, even if they really, really wanted to? Then doesn't gay marriage just slap them in the face? That is like giving alcohol to someone who really, really wants to stop drinking!
2) I have never heard that argument... "Discriminate against gays because they may hide their homosexuality from us!"........ who and where have you been debating?
There should not be discrimination against homosexuals, just like their should not be discrimination against alcoholics or adulterers or pedophiles or murderers. If they break a law, then they are responsible for it. It is not the job of the citizens to go on a crusader against law breakers or immoral citizens. But the government should not ENDORSE immorality because then that leaves the people with the job of doing what the justice system will not.

Well, I'm sure I will get a whole bunch of thumbs down on this one, but I'm entitle to my opinion.
I don't believe that anyone is born gay. It is a choice. Just like drinking alcohol is a choice that an alcoholic makes. Everyone has something they are drawn to that is morally unacceptable according to the bible. You may not be able to chose whether or not you are attracted to the same sex, but you can chose whether or not to act on that attraction. I do not believe that gay sex is natural. We don't naturally do things that are bad for us. And yes, gay sex is unhealthy. First of all, gay men run the risk of serious infection from the bacteria found in the anus entering their system through the penis. And anal sex has been linked to colon cancer, which can almost never be treated. It is very rarely caught in time.
The bible warns against deviant sex. Choosing to participate in it is choosing to disregard the bible.
But it is your choice. That is what is meant by "free will". I don't judge you for it. I have gay friends and they know how I feel. We choose to remain friends and not discuss it. Like I said everybody has something they are drawn to. I am not perfect, I sin just like everybody else. The bible warns against premarital sex and I am guilty of that. The bible warns against excessive drinking, and I have been guilty of that. Along with so many other things.
My point is, I believe the bible and therefore I believe that it is a choice, but I don't condemn you for it.

Discrimination against someone because of their sexual orientation is wrong, in my opinion. I don't believe you can change your sexual orientation, though, I believe God can change it for you if you ask Him to. I think the only thing a heterosexual or a homosexual can do, themselves, to change has nothing to do with the original orientation, only the practice of it or lack thereof. Peace.

I actually think nothing of it. However, the analogy is missing a few blatant yet juicy parallels.
For instance, one might say that "religious orientation" doesn't f*ck with anyone, except it does, when you think about it. And one might say: "religious orientation" doesn't spread horrendous diseases, except one might think that false doctrines might be worse than aids. Hell, even God called a certain group of people a "whore" and "prostitute" in Hosea, so, I guess your analogy is kind of biblical.
You are on the right path, grasshopper.

We are a Christian Country. Its what America is. Its why people came here to start with. Look at your money. In GOD we trust. People that don't like it, should find a Godless country and move to it. Not change America.

Mark 7:29
29Then he told her, "For such a reply, you may go; the demon has left your daughter."
30She went home and found her child lying on the bed, and the demon gone.
SEX is Satan's business. Flesh ! Satan is a demon who Jesus orders away! = Purge
LOVE is GOD's business. If done right , GOD will enhance.

we should never judge others but it happens all the time. The shame is those that judge others will not make it back to father and most do not realize that everytime they point to finger out to judge they are locking their own fate farther and farther from father.

Can a person change their religion? I don't think so, but it is possible that a person can follow a path that they THINK is true for them, until their true path emerges for them.
