Did you support the abortions (i believe called partial-birth abortions) when the mother would have a full pregnancy, give birth, then the child was murdered?

Im just interested as to how many people think that is ok, and why.

no, partial birth abortions are inhumane and should never be done.

abortions should be performed within the first three months, after that, it is too late.

but btw, what you are talking about is not partial birth abortion. When the child has taken a breath outside the womb, it has rights as you do and it really IS murder. You do that, and you will get tried for murder and thrown in prison.

I am not pro choice, but I would like to answer this anyway. I am totally against abortion, unless for one reason and one reason only, and that is, if there was no doubt whatsoever, (with several doctors opinions), that by the mother giving birth to the baby, would without a doubt, cause the mother to die! That would be the ONE and ONLY circumstance where I would agree to abortion!!
But let me just say this: ANY SO CALLED MOTHER WHO WOULD HAVE THIS KIND OF ABORTION, AND ANY SO CALLED DOCTOR WHO WOULD PERFORM THIS KIND OF ABORTION, WELL, WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE TO THEM, I BEST NOT PUT INTO WORDS! THEY ARE FILTHY LOW DOWN MURDERERS, THAT NEED TO SPEND THE REST OF THEIR LIFE BEHIND BARS!!! If the mother thinks in her mind, that she just absolutely has to have an abortion, then why on GOD'S green earth would she wait until she was 5, 6, 7 months along to have it done? Why couldn't she have it done when the baby was no more than the size of a "bean", an embryo? (and I am by no means saying this is right either!) But there is absolutely no excuse for this kind of abortion especially! NONE!!!!
And also, what is wrong with having the baby, and putting it up for adoption? There are so many couples out there who cannot have children, who would have loved to have adopted one of these poor innocent babies whose parent/parents decided to murder! Like I said, NO EXCUSE!!!
WE NEED TO PUT A STOP TO THIS MADNESS, THIS MURDERING RAMPAGE, GET THESE NON HUMANS OFF OF THE STREETS, IT NEEDS TO STOP NOW, BEFORE ANY MORE INNOCENT LIVES ARE DESTROYED!!
So some of you think I am being really cruel by saying this Huh? What about those tiny little lives who had no say in whether they lived or died, that felt every bit of the PAIN from these abortions, (and yes, they feel the pain, every last bit of it, I have read all about these kinds of abortions, words cannot begin to describe how horrible this act is!) How can those of you who have either had this done, or are considering it, live with yourselves? Tell ya what, why don't all you mothers who are seriously considering having this done, take a look on various web sites, and read about this for yourselves, and read some of the awful stories/cases! And there are some very graphic pictures that almost can't be looked at, but on the other hand, should be!!

In a partial birth abortion a woman goes to nearly full term, labor is induced, the cervix is dilated a tool is inserted to either puncture and scramble the brain and/or inject a solution to kill the brain.. the skull is then fractured and the remains are extracted... There is no full birth then killing the fetus is still within the mother when all procedures are done..

Now that we fully understand what a partial birth abortion is lets move on to your question..

No I do not support partial birth abortion.. I support a woman's right to choose abortion with a time constraint.. for me the deadline is 16 weeks.. 16 weeks marks roughly 4 months that is more than enough time for a woman to decide and act to get an abortion if she so chooses..

The youngest viable birth (viable meaning lived with drastic medical and scientific intervention) has been roughly 20 weeks.. 16 weeks is well before that viability marker..

I am a supporter of choice and believe every woman has a right to choose whether or not she will abort a pregnancy within reason for me that marker is 16 weeks..

Most laws are a 12 week marker..

Please make sure you understand what something is before touting what you think it is, in the case of partial birth abortion you were completely off the mark saying "give birth, then the child is murdered" birth is when the fetus is expelled not when it is still within the womans body. .

No, thats disgusting, and you really need to get your facts straight. A partial birth abortion is :
According to the American Medical Association, this procedure has four main elements.[8] First, the cervix is dilated. Second, the fetus is positioned for a footling breech. Third, the fetus is extracted except for the head. Fourth, brain of the fetus is evacuated so that a dead but otherwise intact fetus is delivered via the vagina.

Usually, preliminary procedures are performed over a period of two to three days, to gradually dilate the cervix using laminaria tents (sticks of seaweed which absorb fluid and swell). Sometimes drugs such as synthetic pitocin are used to induce labor. Once the cervix is sufficiently dilated, the doctor uses an ultrasound and forceps to grasp the fetus' leg. The fetus is turned to a breech position, if necessary, and the doctor pulls one or both legs out of the birth canal, causing what is referred to by some people as the 'partial birth' of the fetus. The doctor subsequently extracts the rest of the fetus, usually without the aid of forceps, leaving only the head still inside the birth canal. An incision is made at the base of the skull, scissors are inserted into the incision and opened to widen the opening[9], and then a suction catheter is inserted into the opening. The brain is suctioned out, which causes the skull to collapse and allows the fetus to pass more easily through the birth canal. The placenta is removed and the uterine wall is vacuum aspirated using a suction curette

What you are describing is not a partial birth abortion. That is not to say that a description of partial birth abortion would be any less uncomfortable. I do believe that people have the choice. I am not comfortable with that belief, but I have it.

I also feel that the energy, money and effort put into the anti-abortion movement would have a more positive impact on the world if spent on causes like basic nutrition and health care for all children, fully funded early intervention programs, Big Brother/Big Sister programs, Affordable child care and cooperative education.

I am Pro-choice, but I think that there is a point where abortion is not a valid option for a pregnancy. As you call it a partial-birth,or in the third trimester it is not viable. The child can live outside of the mother's womb and therefore is not a time for an abortion. People who are pro-choice do have reasonable thoughts on abortion. They do not believe on aborting a child that is nearly ready to be born, or a child in the third trimester. We believe that as long as the fetus can not live outside of the womb,it is not yet a living breating child and therefore is not yet a true being that can live as a person, then abortion is a valid option.

No, why on earth would anyone want to do that? Yeah, I'm pro-choice but there is most definately a limit there. If you are going to have an abortion it should be done early on. What's the point of going through the pregnancy and giving birth if you aren't planning on keeping the baby? Sounds pretty ridiculous to me.

I'm pro-life, but I just wanted to let you know that partial-birth abortions are different than what you said...in PB abortions, the child is not out of the birth canal fully...only partially.

to me, there's no difference...but some people are bound to raise a stink..

The act being described is not a "partial birth abortion", it is a pro-life person's straw man.

The "partial birth abortion" has been conflated with the term "late term abortion" to produce this imaginary scenario. The procedure is called this because the fetus is pulled into the birth canal and killed there. It has nothing to do with how close to delivery the fetus is.

Nope. I only support abortion during the first couple months of pregnancy. In the very first stages of pregnancy, it's not really a baby yet, it's a bunch of cell dividing. During that period, I have no issue with someone having an abortion.
