First of all, we wouldn't have to come up with a solution if the knuckleheads running our country would not have made such a big mess. You ought to be more pissed about the problems they have made for our country, instead of pointing the finger at the ones that did not intend to start a war in Iraq.

There is no short term solution, and adding more troops is not the answer. We will eventually have to leave, unless we decide to set up millitary bases and make an occupation of the situation.

My solution would be to at least make sure the soldiers that are fighting now have the proper equipment (i.e. body armor and weaponry) to do a good job. But since our gov. can't even get the proper funds and equip. to them, there is really no reason for them staying for a slaughter.

There is plenty of evidence regarding this issue:

I am for the war in Afghanistan. That is where the "war on terror" should be fought. Osama bin Laden is still on the loose. He killed 3,000 people in one day on American soil. He was/is a threat to American security. Saddam was not.

However, we are wasting our time, caught in a civil war in Iraq. I was against the invasion of Iraq since the very start. The UN should've been allowed to do its job, instead the Bush administration lied to Congress and the American people about the threat Iraq posed to the United States, and the world. (I'm still waiting for WMDs.)

There is no military solution to the war in Iraq. What the US should do is set benchmarks for the Iraqi government, use diplomacy with Iran and Syria, and begin bringing our brave soldiers home.

This plan is better than the one in place, because it puts no more soldiers in the line of fire in an un-winable war, and utilizes diplomacy rather than missiles.

Don't do it in the first place. There is no solution now. Just more senseless killing.
Most people with any knowledge of the history of the area knew that the wars would be a disaster.
The Germans and the French got it right.

You must be from a think tank with writer's block.

Good luck since finding a solution will not be found here since they can make money if they did.

It is called making money.
