That would be impossible. It is a GIFT from GOD! If it is taught, then it is not truth. Quit trying to decieve people and pray for the gift if you want it. It also is the ability to learn a new language quickly. All this CRAP that some churches practice is just jibberish.

What's your mother tongue? English, Chinese, Spanish?? This is the actual meaning of 'tongues', it is just plain LANGUAGE, not any mambo-jumbo that most church goers believe in.
In Jesus' time, his disciples were blessed with the Holy Spirit to speak in tongues and they were to go spread the Good News to people of the world, remember? If tongues were really some mumbling, how would the people of the world know what on earth they were preaching about?
In today's world, if you go around mumbling in an unknown language, people would either think you are bonkers or you are possessed by some bad demons.

I hope you don't attend a church that pushes the idea that tongues are proof of salvation. That's not so. Paul asked "do all speak in tongues," and clearly the answer he expected was "no." Not everyone will have the same gifts.

All I can say is pray for the gifts you want, and then trust God to bestow those he wants you to have.

I repeat myself from 2 days ago.........It is really simple. Just push your tongue behind your top teeth, start talking about anything, real loud, roll your eyes around and start drooling just a bit. Then keeping your feet kinda close together, start shuffling around in little circles then start flapping your arms and hands up and down by your sides. Do this for 10 or 15 minutes..........everyone there will feel your spirit and know exactly what you are saying .

You will need to be persecuted for Christ. 2 Timothy 3:12 - "In fact, everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted."

You will need to get beaten up a lot. 2 Corinthians 11.

You will need to be absolutely clean and holy. I don't agree with all this jerking around stuff in churches. You need to abstain from business deals in anything that has to do with advertising for secular values of sex and violence. etc.

the christian way is to seek and ask for it. The holy spirit is suppose to take your language and switch it with his as you sing or pray. But I do not think the teachings are real, because I could not find Jesus, I found the God of the Jews when I searched for God.

But I am still seeking I guess.

By learning languages the regular way, just like everyone else.

And then after you have learned and communicated with it, declare that there is absolutely no way in hell you could have learned and communicated that language with out God. It's a miracle!

That's how, blame your own skills and success on God.

Just learn Spanish and Chinese. Those are the only tongues you'll need. Then, you just interchange between those two and English in a cuss fest.

Speaking in Tongues. That's it
