because they are not exposed to it. some years the chickenpox virus is heavier than others. therefore you can put a child in school one year -that is where they mostly get it from- and get chickenpox but put another child in school the next year and not get it since the virus isnt big that year. i recently read an article in school that said more and more parents are exposing their children to the chickenpox purposely as early as they can so that they have it over with. since it is worse to get it when you get older

Kids still get chicken-pox, there is usually a certain time of year in which it breaks out. (not always though)

because the varicella (chicken pox) vaccine is now mandatory for all children

its a shame
it doesnt always work.. i want my kids to get chicken pox because if they get it when they are older it is a lot worse!

Theres a free vaccine for it now.. well at least in Canada..

Well for one you can get kids shots to prevent it now and you should have your kids get the shot

Supposedly it is because so many are innoculated.
