Asks to help them because they are losing their faith why would you attack them and make it worse?

I don't have a situation. I am refering to one someone posted and I went there to answer and I saw all these people attacking this person who needed prayer and was hurting inside. All they did was make it worse. They said they were losing their faith and i just thought are these people trying to make him an unbeliever?

God forbid..we are to esteem our brothers and sisters in Christ...build them up in their faith..sadly though the church has been known to kill its own...

Don't be alarmed there seems to be allot of extremists in this forum on both sides of many issues. Sorry to hear about your situation. More often than not it is hard to find someone you can confide in that will keep your confidence and answer with wisdom. If possible seek out such a person. I assure you they do exist.

You wouldn't attack them if you yourself had any faith or kindness. A cry for help should always be flattering to the person being asked and they should do their best to help, with love, understanding, and gentleness.

If you are asking for that kind of help on YA, there are many atheists, or just plain ignorant people, who would love to help you loose all faith.

We all go through periods of the blahs or doubts to some extent from time to time. I have had preachers admit that they too have such periods. The best suggestion I can give you is to read from the New Testament - the book of John is always worth re-reading - and spend time with Jesus. Don't be discouraged. It is quite common.

What do you mean by "attack?" It would have been helpful if you'd given at least one example.

You seem to be implying that anything that supports a loss of "faith" makes things "worse." Many of us don't feel that way. Many of us feel that it's being supportive.

I would certainly attempt to help them find their way back home.(faith in God)

“Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, you which are spiritual, RESTORE such a person in the SPIRIT of MEEKNESS; considering yourself, lest you also be tempted” (Galatians 6:1).

Some people are buttholes. That is just the way it is, I guess.

Sometimes, I am a butthole. Everyone actually has buttholeability.

Hosea 13
