You can run or walk a lot and still not lose weight if your diet is not in order. Don't get me wrong -- exercise is good for maintaining weight and getting/staying in shape, but eating a balanced diet will do more for you than exercise will. I was running for 30 minutes a day at least 5 times a week and still gaining weight because I was eating too much and eating a lot of garbage. Now that I'm eating a healthy diet and watching what and how much I eat the pounds are coming off.

Yes, but it will take a while. You need to walk at least 45 minutes everyday to make a noticeable difference or if you jogged instead of walked for 20 minutes. You will lose weight even faster if you cut about 250 calories from your usual calorie intake each day. If you cut out too many from your diet though your body will store the calories you do consume as fat.

If your not exercising at all now, and start doing some... I suppose you will eventually lose weight, but the key is eating well too, lower your calorie intake, lots of water, small meals and protein! They say if you lower your daily calorie intake by 500 calories day, you will lose 1 pound a week (1lb=3500 calories). If you start buring another 500 calories a day (increase your walking time), you will lose 2lbs a week (which is a great amt of weight to lose p/ wk to keep it off healthy).

Music allows you to eat more. According to a study by the journal Psychology along with Marketing, soft, classical tunes encourage someone to take time over your dinner, so you consume more foods. So, switch off – silence is likely to make you more aware of what you’re putting in your mouth.

Definetly.

My mom walked on it 30 minutes a day for a year and lost 32 lbs.
I would also quit drinking soda if you do.

Buy smaller plates. Little crockery means portion control is really a lot easier – those diminutive parts suddenly look huge and you’ll be happier to consume less.
